How We Work

At KVL we want people to feel known and seen. To know that their lives have value and purpose. We want people to thrive because they feel loved and secured

Known

We believe education is the key to seeing lives rebuilt and communities impacted by conflict restored. We develop, support and inform education provision where it’s needed most to give young people the chance of a better future.

Valued

Our objective is to advance education primarily in communities impacted by conflict anywhere in the world by improving both equality of access and the quality of provision for children and young people.

Loved

Our vision is for all children and young people to have access to relevant, high-quality education as a basic human right. For people to be aspirational and have life opportunities and for their communities to flourish.

Our Values

We are empowering: Our aim is to develop projects that have a lasting impact by working alongside local communities, empowering and equipping them to provide access to relevant, high-quality education for all.

We are independent: Education is a basic human right. We remain independent of political, cultural, and religious views, advocating for people regardless of their backgrounds and beliefs.

We work with integrity: We truly believe in what we stand for. We want to make sure people are Known within their community and that their needs are seen and understood; that they know that they are Valued and that their lives have a purpose; and that they are shown compassion and Loved.

Transforming Education  Programme

At KnownValuedLoved, our Transforming Education Programme (TEP) is central to our mission of providing quality education for children in areas affected by conflict and poverty.

Through this programme, we’re dedicated to fostering lasting improvement in schools by working closely with school leaders, teachers, and local NGOs.

Our approach is both strategic and impactful. KVL establishes education hubs—model schools in communities that need them most. These hubs are located to reach rural and underserved areas, ensuring education is accessible to children who would otherwise be excluded. By offering specialist training to school leaders and teachers, we support the development of schools that deliver high-quality education, focusing on effective teaching, creative planning, and meaningful assessment. This gives children the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in life and make a positive impact in their communities.

But we don’t stop there.

To extend the benefits further, we support a network model that connects hub schools with surrounding rural schools, often isolated and under-resourced. This helps prevent children in these areas from falling into cycles of child labour, exploitation, or early marriage. Our model fosters self-sustaining schools, and with the help of local Education Development Officers and teacher trainers, we ensure high standards are upheld and shared across the network.

Your support helps make these transformative opportunities possible, enabling KVL to create education hubs, empower school networks, and help communities break the cycle of poverty.

Together, we can give children the education they deserve to build a brighter future.

It's estimated that 265 million children and young people are out of school.
